Hello and WELCOME!
My name is Victoria Stankus, wife to David Stankus for the past 33+ years. We met as students at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. We now have two grown children. Our oldest is a young lady with autism. On here, we often call her EL or Miss E (for short). Our youngest, Jon, is an adventurous, creative young man who is a hands-on worker, a talented "YouTuber" and a filmmaker.
We were a homeschooling family for 16 years. (If interested, you can read about those years on our homeschool blog: SONset Academy.) Now that I am retired from teaching, I remain at home and work as our daughter's Personal Support Worker (Caregiver), and also do EMS billing at home.
In my spare time, I am a freelance Writer & Editor, and also volunteer (with Miss E) at various local agencies. I am not regularly posting new content on this blog, but I do still post on my Facebook page at least 3 times per week, as well as on Instagram. Join me over there! He Holds My Right Hand - Blog
As a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ, I trust in Him alone for the forgiveness of my sins. I know I am not perfect, but with God's help, I continue to learn and grow every day. I believe we are here on this earth to serve the Lord with gladness, glorifying Him in our words, thoughts, actions, and by using the gifts/talents He gave us. This blog was made for that reason - to serve Him by doing what I love to do: WRITE and ENCOURAGE.

My favorite verse since High School has been Isaiah 41:13 (see in the heading above). It has been a comfort and strength to me through the years, knowing God has been there to hold my hand. I hope this verse and this blog will be an encouragement to you also as we continue our journey here on earth.
Thanks for stopping by!
Eph 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV)
